JCB Secures £50 Million Plant Hire Deal
In an exciting move, manufacturing equipment specialists JCB have announced their biggest deal to date with one of the UK’s leading plant hire firms. The deal itself is worth over £50 million, which surpasses a record of £35 million last year.
Both these figures have come as a result of a partnership with A-Plant, which is a leader in the plant hire field in the UK. Their 2014 deal saw the provision of over 1,000 machines, whereas this new venture with the company sees over 1,500 JCB machines heading to A-Plant for hire across the UK.
As well as being a landmark deal for digging and excavation machinery specialists JCB, it also marks a major milestone for A-Plant. This deal now means that A-Plant have purchasef over 10,000 machies from JCB since they first started purchasing for plant hire over 25 years ago.
Within this deal, A-Plant can expect all the same great service and quality from JCB, with some of their most trusted machinery arriving at A-Plant locations over the next few weeks. Not only this, but the latest and greatest new JCB machines are also currently rolling off the production likes, with A-Plant to start expecting delivery of these new excavators throughout 2015.
This is fantastic news for those in a number of JCB’s different factories in areas such as Rocester, Cheadle and Uttoxeter, as they will each manufacture the micro, mini and midi excavators which have been ordered. Plus, these factories will also be able to produce the Loadall telescopic handlers and tracked excavators which are also part of the order.
It seems as though A-Plant have chosen to continue working with JCB thanks to the extensive range of products they provide. The equipment rental company which has more than 135 service centres across Britain, plans to offer their customers one of the youngest fleets available in the industry, which is why such a varied range of excavators, particularly new products, is preferred. A-Plant is home to more than 2,700 employees nationwide, with over 30,000 customers relying on their machinery for hire.
